As a proven leader and experienced educator, I am excited for the opportunity to promote student success, strengthen faculty engagement in decision-making, cultivate effective governance, and advocate for investments in Nevada's colleges and universities.
MY BACKGROUND
With over 20 years of experience as an educator and national non-profit leader, I have the knowledge, skills and capacity to support effective governance at NSHE, with a central focus on enabling all students and faculty at Nevada's colleges and universities to achieve their goals. As a passionate champion for education, I will bring the change we need to Nevada's higher education.
A PASSION FOR EDUCATION
As a professor, former faculty senate chair, and former chair of the NSHE council of senate chairs, I know higher education. I also know what it means to serve others and advocate on their behalf. Education is the driving force behind quality of life and well-being within Nevada's communities. Education enables people to achieve their goals, builds our workforce, and drives our economy.
